“Confidence, like art, never comes from having all the answers; it comes from being open to all the questions.” By Earl Gray Stevens.
“What is true is already so.
Owning up to it doesn’t make it worse.
Not being open about it doesn’t make it go away.
And because it’s true, it is what is there to be interacted with.
Anything untrue isn’t there to be lived.
People can stand what is true,
for they are already enduring it.” By Eugene Gendlin
“It wasn’t the world being round that agitated people, but that the world wasn’t flat. When a well-packaged web of lies has been sold gradually to the masses over generations, the truth will seem utterly preposterous and its speaker a raving lunatic.” By Dresden James.
The truth is never easy, whether it’s the path taken to finding it, or how we feel after being enlightened by it. Nevertheless, we should always seek the truth no matter how ‘ugly’ it can be, at least when knowing we can finally do something to change our reality, instead of waking up from a beautiful dream only to find out we’ve awaken to a living nightmare; just as our friend from the selected painting.
